Why Germany

A solid income and security —
without compromise.

In Germany, the employment contract is the norm — and with it full social protection, a very good pension scheme and a stable, predictable income. Solid conditions and security go hand in hand here.

What this means day to day

The employment contract is the standard

Physicians in German hospitals are salaried employees, and pay is governed by collective agreements (TV-Ärzte) negotiated by the physicians’ union. The package includes annually rising salaries, paid overtime and on-call duty, leave, social contributions and notice periods.

Stable work in one place

Germany values solid, stable work in a single position — one job is usually enough. That means a more predictable life, a real team, and calm instead of rushing between shifts.

A very good pension scheme

Physicians in Germany have a very good pension scheme — often more favourable than the general system — and the employer contributes to your pension account. A simple “gross/net” comparison is a separate topic that is not easy to compare directly (contributions are calculated differently), so it is worth looking at the specific offer.
